CYM offers a wide selection of music books and accessories. All curriculum books and recordings are available at the school, as well as an assortment of supplemental workbooks, sheet music, CD’s and cassettes. We carry an array of instrumental accessories: stringed instrument parts, shoulder rests, piano cushions, tuners, metronomes, etc. We are happy to special order any item not in stock. High-quality clothing, mugs and tote bags, bearing the attractive CYM logo, are also available.
CYM’s Instruments—We provide instruments of the highest quality possible. Most of our instruments are listed in the Orion Book, so you can be sure that if you ever want to resell it, you will have an industry standard for the instrument’s value. In fact, we’d be happy to buy it back from you! Additionally, we seek out very fine handmade private label instruments for the most discriminating player. For every price point, we can supply an instrument that will meet your needs and protect your investment.
Rental and Maintenance Programs—CYM rents violins, violas, cellos and guitars in all sizes. For an additional fee, we provide unlimited maintenance of the instrument, including new strings. All minor damage, short of loss or destruction of the instrument, or major structural damage that necessitates the opening of the instrument for repair, is covered. Rental charges are billed monthly.
Rental Equity Program—As your child grows, as many as eight different instrument sizes may be needed to help your child learn proper instrument technique. CYM’s Rental Equity Program is designed for your child. CYM maintains the instruments in excellent condition and provides you with larger-sized instruments as needed without additional cost.
Throughout your participation in CYM’s rental equity program, a portion of your payment amount is safeguarded so it may be applied at a later date toward the purchase of a full-size instrument.
Rental Equity Purchase—For the first 5 years of instrument rental, your Rental Equity Purchase Option is described by our Equity Value Program, which features good quality student instruments. At the conclusion of 5 years, your purchase option is described by our Quality Instrument Program, which features superior grade, high quality instruments.
Equity Value Program—shorter term rentals, lower cost, good quality student instruments.
Quality Instrument Program—longer term rentals, high-end, superior quality instruments.
